Concept re-design piece from environment design class at CDA, redesigning the Medusa and Perseus mythology.
This is my medusa project;
In this world, medusa is a plant monster who, instead of turning people into stone, turns them slowly into plants and trees. Eventually, as the vines of the forest creep up and strangle the victims, all that's left is a dessicated husk of their former self.
This forest is a giant graveyard composed of Medusa's victims. Her lair is in the center of the graveyard, which grows each time new 'heroes' enter to claim her life.
